Laura Hutchcroft Jewelry
Laura Hutchcroft’s jewelry is a combination of precious and non-precious materials, that explores form, structure, and balance. Made by manual processes such as sawing, filing, shaping, and coaxing, these low-tech processes keep the artist in physical contact with her materials.
Her work takes it’s inspiration from the natural environment, architecture, fashion, music, and solitude.
Visually and structurally the artist strives to achieve rhythm by the simplest means, creating ornaments that compliment the body, emerging through material exploration and experimentation. By becoming part of the wearer’s experience, attachment and personal expression, the work is transformed and completed.
