"Nothing in my background suggested a career in wearable art."
"Nothing in my background suggested a career in wearable art. My young adult years were spent in entertainment as an actress, singer and musician on the road and in television. After marriage, children and divorce, I spent the next years concentrating on raising my children and that meant the need for security and stability of a regular job. When my youngest went off to college, I left the business world. I moved to the country...way out in the country, bought a loom and taught myself to weave. My focus came to be on women's wearables, mainly happi coats, cloaks, and greatcoats in textured cottons. For a few years I did art shows throughout the Midwest. I was pleased to win a number of awards during those years, but I no longer list them as they are not relevant to what I do today. I currently show my work through galleries and boutiques in a number of states.
