Each piece of Kristy Sly’s Kilnformed Glass is made by hand using a labor-intensive process. Kristy cuts the individual pieces of glass with a hand held glass cutter, and fires it in a kiln to nearly 1500 degrees. Then the glass blanks are cleaned, the edges ground, and they are fired again in a mold to 1275 degrees. Finally, all of the art is signed by the artist.

Each handmade piece of Kristy Sly’s Kilnformed Glass is food safe. They may be used as dinnerware, salad pieces, dessert pieces, serving pieces, fruit bowls, or simply as an accent piece in the home.
