Artist Carl Basco's works include inking, watercolor, metal sculpture and other media.
Born in Chicago and raised in Milwaukee, Carl is married and has lived in Menomonee Falls for 36 years. He has five children and 10 Grandchildren. Carl graduated from Pulaski High School and then played Professional Minor League Baseball with St. Louis Cardinals and Cleveland Indians. He served two years in the Army.
Carl studied Art at Milwaukee Teachers College(now UWM) under such Masters as John Colt, Ted Kranik and Joseph Friebert. Carl's work is nature centered, often featuring birds, trees, and farm scenes. It can be described as representative without being strictly realistic. He has exhibited in Galleries in Door County, Green Bay, The Starving Artist(Mount Mary Campus), Milwaukee and Bressler Gallery in Milwaukee. He earned many awards in Art in the Milwaukee area. Private Commissions have been carried out in varied media.
